I have a true ghost story or several…As I mentioned my farm house was built in 1730 so undoubtably we do have a few ghosts living here. Usually it’s the children who can see them and in rare occasions adults can too! These are very happy ghosts so no need to worry!

Last night around 10:30 I heard walking in the hallway outside my bedroom. So much so that I checked my alarm to see if the kids came home and they haven’t yet. Then as I lay there contemplating what to do, I decide to get up and look around to see what is going on and I found nothing.

The ghosts were active last night and most everyone that sleeps here will hear walking too! My step dad told me before I moved back home that sometimes the ghosts get active when change is about to happen and that’s when you will hear the walking! I know now you think I am nuts but honestly you can hear them walking!

I do have several ghost stories and sitings but I’ll save those for a later tale!

This has been a week..I have had a major leak over my windows in the dining room. Here’s the situation, after calling 20 roofers to fix this little flat 20’ x 3’ roof I finally found someone to fix it! That is good news where the first person who agreed sent me a cancellation notice. So this company seems ok. I’m totally hopeful he will not cancel. On top of that the furnace is totally fried and it’s only 7 years old. That’s another story for another day but thank goodness we have a wood stove so the house is staying pretty warm.

I also have a rental property that I was selling and I now have a squatter..This poor women thought she bought the house and paid cash for the house to a real estate agent. This is in another state. I feel bad for her but she has to move. Squatters have rights.

It’s been a week. After getting really sad yesterday person at work randomly sent me a message in her salutation that she’s never stressed she’s blessed. In the big picture I’m very blessed too! So I sent her a thank you for the reminder. Sometimes I get so caught up in the day to day stuff, leaky pipes, horses escaping, dealing with mold from all the rain we have had and still having that I forget in the big picture I am blessed!

My son and his girlfriend have a new kitten! They live with us so I guess that makes me a grandmother again to Arlo! That’s the best kind! I get to play with him then give him back when they come home from work!

The more toys the better!

This is Sonny the Canary. Sonny was a birthday gift for me a few years ago from my daughter. One day, while I was sitting at my desk watching him I thought he may be lonely so I put a bird feeder in his window and to my surprise he actually likes it!

He will sit on his perch and watch his little visitors. He’s very vocal too! Singing all day. Not a sing-songy voice but more of a chirping. He is especially loud if I have music on or the TV. You may ask is it annoying? Only sometimes, when I’m on the phone with a client or early Sunday morning when your trying to sleep late!🙂
