Bud Can Swim!!!

Bud does swim! He only wished the pool
was heated..

A lot of you asked me the other day if Bud, our bunny can swim and he can! Bud likes the water! Apparently a lot of rabbits swim! This isn\’t as strange as it seems! We haven\’t tried Ciara yet because we don\’t think she is ready. As you can see, my son doesn\’t leave his side either!

Have a great day!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Hi everyone! I hope your all enjoying your weekend! I just got back from the Lily Club picnic with my Mother! Even the dogs had fun! The cute guy above was looking at the tomato thinking it was a ball! This pretty pink flower is a dahlia.

This garden is huge, the most lilies I\’ve ever seen in a private garden! Now I know why I come in second and third at the shows! LOL This is only one of his gardens! The lily season is over for us now, but I could only imagine what this must have looked like!

Another cute pup!
He did have a few left! I love this lily! I\’m going to try to grow them next year!
I love red barns and he had one!
Another cute little dog enjoying her day!
Mom and me! My mother loves going to these picnics and they are fun! This group of people takes growing lilies real serious! Every summer I say I will do better next year then next year comes and guess what!!! In the fall we will buy more bulbs and try again!
Have a happy weekend!

An unknown person sent this from the US Postal office.

Hey friends, I was forwarded this email today from my friend in Cayman Brac and I thought I would share it with you~

Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey.. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words:

Dear God,
Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.
I hope you will play with her.. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.
Love, Meredith

We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it.. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.

Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, \’To Meredith\’ in an unfamiliar hand.. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, \’When a Pet Dies..\’ Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey &Meredith and this note:

Dear Meredith,
Abbey arrived safely in heaven.
Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away.
Abbey isn\’t sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don\’t need our bodies in heaven, I don\’t have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by..
Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you.
I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much.
By the way, I\’m easy to find, I am wherever there is love.

Love,
God

I thought this was very sweet I have heard of Santa Claus answering letters, but not God. Someone has a very gentle soul. Have a happy day~

How do you like the new color of my fur?

Lilly here…
Isn\’t it lovely! Blonde, my favorite fur color, I had it all over my back last week. I bet your wondering what I did to get this beautiful color….
Lilly\’s!!! My name sake! Hey, who ever said cats can\’t color our fur! For you lilly lovers (I\’m talking about the lilly, not me), the stamen is what causes our fur to turn yellow! It gets on everything! That is why Mom usually picks the stamen off, but this lilly had opened and she missed it until she saw me! (hehehehe) I\’m just seeing if blondes have more fun, Mom says they don\’t! She should know, she just colored her hair back to brunette!! OPPS did I say that!
Happy Thursday everyone!

Week two…book review!

I did it! I made the cut for reading chapter two by Tuesday! LOL. I have to say I really enjoy this book and any animal lover would. No, I\’m not being paid to do this book review!!
Chapter two was about the Susannah Charleson picking out her Golden Retriever, the process she went through because she is going to use this pup for SAR…Search and Rescue…
She also rescued dogs and most of her dogs are rescues and fosters dogs. She wrote about one sweet, very old, Pomeranian, Scruppy, who was about to be put down because he was so old and sickly that no one wanted him, except for Susannah. It turned out that this little blind, deaf, old dog was a very nice companion and it really makes me think that maybe more people should foster…just a thought!
The chapter comes to the end and she brings home her puppy, Puzzle. So the adventure continues….until next week~
