We had over 13 inches of rain and broke the all time record for July, while there are droughts all over the country. I have more weeds than one can think of and more rain is coming tomorrow.

Everything is soaked and my house feels very moist inside. I should really get a dehumidifier. I’ve been saying that for a while now-

This is a weed that is about 7 feet tall and that is one of too many! I have been told that all flowers have started out as weeds! I think that may be true! 🌻

We are currently in the middle of a heatwave here and many people are saying it’s too hot – well it is for this country – and we need cooler temperatures and some rain, but if we do get any of the wet stuff they’ll be moaning again. Some people are never satisfied! 🙂 My back garden is also full of weeds – I cut the front three weeks ago just before I went away but didn’t have time to do the back and it’s really gone wild in that time. My garden pond – upside down and waiting to be dealt with – and the path underneath my washing line have completely disappeared in the undergrowth! 🙂

All I can do is smile! I am just glad that this rain isn’t snow! It could always be worse!! Thirteen inches of rain would be 156 in snowfall! That would be something to complain about!!

My yard looked great in the spring. And then the rain came. My backyard is a jungle–I’m almost scared to go back there. The rain has made everything BLOOM like crazy. And not in a good way.

I have that awful flower/weed. We call it Scotch Bluebells, it is invasive here and I detest it. Although, it does look rather pretty.
