I am definitely a country girl that loves to garden, quilt, preserve, hunt, and read. I love my family more than anything in the world. I live with my husband of fifty years. We have a son, daughter, granddaughter and grandson. We live on a 500+ acre farm in Virginia with about 75 cows & bulls, thirty chickens, and three dogs.

Hi Deborah! Thanks for coming by to see me. I wasn't too sure which of your blogs to follow, this one has lots more followers than the other one, but you don't seem to post as often on that one. I signed onto this one, because I figured you'd see it sooner. I already feel a kinship with you, because I am a Deacon and my husband is Head Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. And I love the Jane Austin movies and all those English period pieces by Merchant Ivory! These pictures are so cute!! I like Martha Stewart, as well, and Michael's has started selling her craft kits.

Hey, I've saved one of your comments to reply to and … well, it's been a week. Thank you for asking about the earthquake. We've been getting lots of those lately and every time I wonder if they're diffusing or fueling the big one. For now, we're really fine. The cats and dogs don't mind and I'm used to them. I hope you are well and I'm also thinking of Penny of course. I just don't like to bug you all the time. As for comments…. I told you I just do the best I can. my best\”Twinkie\”
