I am definitely a country girl that loves to garden, quilt, preserve, hunt, and read. I love my family more than anything in the world. I live with my husband of fifty years. We have a son, daughter, granddaughter and grandson. We live on a 500+ acre farm in Virginia with about 75 cows & bulls, thirty chickens, and three dogs.

Deborah, I was looking through a bunch of journals and diaries I've kept through the years. What memories! In my past life I had two doxies and an orange tabby named Joey. IF I had a nickel for every time I wrote 'Joey woke me up at 3 a.m. , 4 a.m….[pick a number and fill in the blank!ha!] — well, I'd be able to retire:) Enjoying your animals vicariously is much better for my sleep!ha! Beautiful animals, darling photos!

I'm so thankful that my cat doesn't have that outdoor desire. My boyfriend's cat was like that, even though they tried keeping him indoors for four years. Eventually, they had to start letting him back out – it was just too stressful for everyone!

Well at least Lou lets you catch him, when my Middi escapes she drives me nuts – let's me approach her and think I'm going to catch her and off she runs. This sounds crazy, but I've always had a better relationship with male cats than females.Your Lou sounds like a good boy 🙂 At least he sticks around close enough for you to photograph him – Middi runs clear to the woods and out of sight and all I can do is wait because chasing her drives her even further away – very frustrating!
