I just wanted to give you an update on SonnyBoy and Buffy. Both are doing well after their tooth extractions! Both dogs live on farms, so it was just a coincidence that they both had teeth pulled the same week. I really have no idea how both dogs broke their teeth but they had to bite on something very hard!

A few weeks ago I was blogging about this calendar to increase public awareness about New York Cities at-risk animals. I did end up ordering two, one for my brother for Christmas and one for myself! It came in last week and it is a real nice calendar! The picture I\’m showing is Stephen Stills with his horse. This calendar shows a different musician and their pet on every month. They did offer to send me a calendar, but I didn\’t want to that seeing this is a fundraiser for animals and I just didn\’t think that would be right, so instead I bought the two calendars and I have to say, they are nice! Rumor has it that Buffy\’s owner would like me to keep Buffy. She is a very nice pet and she seems to get along with everyone here. She is quite, although she does bark when someone is at the door, which is a good thing. She is house broken, thank goodness. She is very obedient, so I am sure she will become part of my family. We would be happy to take her! Thankfully we have plenty of room for her and she can rest that back leg. According to the Vet, she will have a limp forever, so this is a good place to relax!

Two days ago, Smokes got on the loose! One of the kids opened the gate and he went flying out! Once he\’s gone, he\’s gone…I had to draw this map for you so you get the whole picture! He went behind my house, through the woods to the local farm stand. That is about 3 miles, we had a sighting there. Then he went all the way to the pizza parlor which is another 2-3 miles. Meanwhile, we got in two cars and looked for him for 2 1/2 hours. Finally we called the police and they had a sighting by the pizza parlor! Fortunately, the kids found him there and he was more than happy to get into the car for the ride home!

Buffy is the only dog I have ever had that did not need to walk on a leash! He stays very close by even with a passing car and dog. Although, I do agree, that is a little scary for me! Buffy loves to walk around the trees!

Do you think it\’s time to rake the yard yet?

Buffy is at the Veterinarian\’s office today because he has a broken tooth that needs to be extracted also. YAYA asked me why they break their teeth, both Sonny and Buffy broke their teeth probably from biting on a bone or possibly a rock. Smokes also broke his tooth that way and if you don\’t get it fixed, they could get an infection and it can be very painful. OUCH!

Sonny, my Mother\’s dog is off to my Veterinarian to see if he can pull a tooth. Sonny\’s Vet. will not do this procedure and said that not many local Veterinarian clinics do this. Of course I found that strange, because my Veterinarian clinic has pulled several of my dog\’s teeth over the years. So off we go! You can see Sonny doesn\’t look to thrilled.Here we go, into the Doctor\’s office.

Sonny is just making sure everything smells OK!

That\’s his Mom, Sonny needs two teeth pulled and will have that done this Thursday.

OK, I won\’t drive this time, but maybe I can ride in the front!

It\’s November 1\’st and I happen to love November. The beginning of the holiday season for me! I think November is my favorite month! These are pictures of horses at my Mother\’s farm. She can board up to eight horses in her barn. She also has a lot of riding trails behind her farm and not only do the horses use the trails, but you will find people riding dirt bikes, motorcycles, four wheelers and ski mobiles!

This is dirt road that leads to the woods; there are fields on both sides of the walls. It is a beautiful and peaceful place to live!
