With Svens ears I can always imagine him flying and rescuing lost stuffies! The very old show, the Flying Nun was one of my favorite shows when I was young. Back in the day you had to watch your favorite shows just once a week. Iβm not even sure if this is on TV anymore!
If dogs could fly, Sven would be known as βThe Birdβ! He would be almost as cool as Dumbo!
It only took two days to stack all this wood! We were supposed to get the wood in November, but they called and had it ready early, so I took it and Iβm glad itβs done.
Our wood stove was out getting fixed this summer because in late spring, the top popped off of it while it was burning and filled the house with smoke, nothing too major, the fire wasnβt roaring but Iβve never seen anything like this and surprisingly enough the wood stove was still guaranteed after 10 years because it was some sort of defect.
You can see in the picture below how the tile popped up.
I really canβt make this stuff up. On another note, my well broke last night so we have no water. The well company was closed today so I have a funny feeling we will be out of water for a week and my neighbor who is kind enough to let us use his well water so we could give the horses water and have it for the house.
I am definitely a country girl that loves to garden, quilt, preserve, hunt, and read. I love my family more than anything in the world. I live with my husband of fifty years. We have a son, daughter, granddaughter and grandson. We live on a 500+ acre farm in Virginia with about 75 cows & bulls, thirty chickens, and three dogs.
This site is about my life as a farmgirl, wife, mother and grandmother. We have a beautiful granddaughter and the cutest grandson. We own two farms in Craig County Virginia, leasing one and raising beef cattle on the other.
