The vote is over and your favorite pet you chose for the \”Favorite Pet Poll\” was a ….DOG….I\’m not surprised, being man\’s best friend and all..
I was told by my friend the whale is technically a mammal so the whale shouldn\’t even be listed..but some people may like whales. I know when I was a younger..just a few years ago, I had quite a whale collection. Everyone would give me whales. I had whale belts, whale shirts, whale figurines, whale scarfs, you name it, I had it! I\’m not even sure how this lavish collection started, but it did..
It only lasted a few years, I must have made new friends that didn\’t know I was a whale collector. I am now on the way to the groomers to get pickup Ariel and Winston. I will post there photo\’s as soon as I get back. They always look so pretty and handsome when they come home! With all this rain, they desperately needed to be groomed.

This is Thumper after he had a bath. Apparently you are suppose to give Bunnie\’s a bath. That is new to me. I thought they cleaned themselves! Anyways, the kids gave him a bath and now he is very soft! Tomorrow, Ariel and Winston go in for there haircuts! I love when they go to the groomers. I try to get them in every six weeks! I give Mr. Chips a bath in the kitchen sink. He would get too stressed at the groomers. Smokes is also due for his haircut, but he will go in a few weeks. If you notice, I cut Smokes hair very short in the summer to keep him cool. He seems to like it!

This should make your day in the pet world..I have heard that fleas can jump 150 times their own length. Tell me that\’s not to disgusting. I have been lucky again not to have a flea problem, but growing up we did. My mother was a dog groomer in our home. We had a kennel and a grooming shop. People loved her so much (they still do!), they would fly there dogs into stay with us. I think because she use to let the little cute dogs run around the house like they were there our pets, secondly, the dogs loved to come to our house. The larger dogs stayed in the big comfy kennels we use to have. They had indoor and outdoor runs. For the $5.00 to $8.00 a day she would charge, (compared to $30.00 – $40.00 a day now), the dogs were visiting in a lap of luxury. Every so often we would encounter a serious flea problem where she would have to bomb the house with flea bombs. At the time, no one thought about any serious health problems by doing this, but the more knowledgeable the world got, you realized how bad this was for you. I am sure there are plenty of green products out there to use when you encounter this problem, but to bomb the house with pesticide\’s, this is not good. She would bomb and everyone would leave the house, including the animals for several hours. Then we would come back home and clean up the bomb residue. My mother does have a nerve problem now that we think may come from a certain flea dip she used for 30 years with the dogs. I read it online that this particular flea dip causes the same neurological problems that she has. So this is another reason I am going green. My mother hasn\’t used this flea dip in years and years, but it was the constant using of this product that built up in her system. She would flea dip every dog that came into the house. She groomed probably 4-5 dogs a day, maybe more for 30 plus years. I don\’t like to use any products on my pets that you couldn\’t put on a baby, I figure if it is not good for me, it\’s not good for them.
My mother told me one time that she did leave a cat in her room by mistake and set the bomb off.. The cat lived another 20years.. I thought for sure she would tell me she found the cat lying there, gasping for breath, but nope, the cat lived through this. So maybe my bomb theory is just that, a theory, but I\’m sticking to it!

This is such a crazy photo of Lilly I thought I should post it again. She looks mean, but she isn\’t. I think she wishes she was like this though because of her big attitude! Anyways, the truth of the matter is that she is yawning, not screaming!

Mr. Chips and his favorite toy. He has had this stuff animal for about two years now. He brings it outside, then inside, he will sleep with it also. Mr. Chips is very protective of his toy and no one else is allowed to play with it!
